PlantStream is pleased to announce that it has entered into a strategic partnership agreement with Tecnoconsult to expand its business operations across North and South America.
This agreement covers the entire North and South American region, with a particular focus on the United States market. Through this partnership, PlantStream will promote the provision of design services utilizing its 3D CAD software, “PlantStream®,” for plant owners and EPC companies.
Founded in 1967, Tecnoconsult is a comprehensive engineering company providing engineering, project management, and design and construction support services across the Americas.
The company supports a wide range of industrial projects in the energy, oil and gas, chemical, power generation, and infrastructure sectors. Tecnoconsult offers integrated services covering the entire project lifecycle—from conceptual design and detailed engineering to procurement support and construction management.
With its strong technical capabilities and deep understanding of regional markets, Tecnoconsult delivers flexible, high-quality solutions tailored to each client’s specific needs. Leveraging its established network and track record throughout North and Latin America, the company is well-positioned to execute projects of various scales and industries.
In recent years, capital investment has accelerated in North America—particularly in the United States—driven by energy transition initiatives, expanding infrastructure investments, and manufacturing reshoring.
As a result, demand for greater sophistication and efficiency in engineering operations has increased significantly. Meanwhile, shortages of experienced engineers and the growing scale and complexity of projects have made automation and productivity enhancement in 3D design processes critical management priorities.
PlantStream has been advancing efficiency in plant engineering through its proprietary auto-routing technology embedded in “PlantStream®.”
Through this partnership, Tecnoconsult will provide rapid and efficient 3D design services utilizing PlantStream®. Similar to PlantStream’s collaborative service models in other regions, this initiative goes beyond software provision to deliver the value of PlantStream® directly through actual engineering execution.
This collaboration will enable plant owners and engineering companies throughout the Americas to directly experience the design efficiency improvements and quality enhancements enabled by PlantStream®.
Particularly in the U.S. market, the combined offering of software and engineering services is expected to create substantial added value.
We have established a North American base and positioned the region as a key sales focus. Through this partnership, we have built a structure that enables us to provide 3D design services utilizing PlantStream® more rapidly and effectively across the Americas, especially in the United States.
By collaborating with Tecnoconsult, we will expand opportunities for customers to experience the value of PlantStream® through actual engineering projects, contributing to the advancement and productivity improvement of engineering processes.
PlantStream® is a 3D CAD software specializing in plant engineering, with strengths in auto-routing for layout planning, piping, civil & architectural, and electrical & instrumentation design.
It combines the plant engineering expertise of Chiyoda Corporation with Arent’s advanced 3D CAD technology. By incorporating industry knowledge into proprietary routing algorithms, PlantStream® can automatically generate approximately 1,000 pipes in about one minute—a task that previously required roughly two hours—significantly reducing design time.
PlantStream® is currently adopted by more than 30 engineering companies and plant owners worldwide.
