About this Seminar
Accurate cost estimation depends on the quality and availability of engineering data. However, engineering and estimating teams often work in separate systems, creating manual processes, data duplication, and inconsistencies that can impact estimate accuracy.
In this webinar, we will demonstrate how PlantStream enables a connected workflow from 3D plant modeling to cost estimation by leveraging Material Take-Off (MTO) data generated directly from engineering models.
Attendees will learn how MTO data from PlantStream can be connected with a Cost Estimation Tool. By linking the output of a Cost Estimation Tool (the cost estimation results) with PlantStream’s MTO data, cost estimation can be based on more transparent and well-grounded figures, further improving estimate accuracy. This helps estimators work with more reliable and up-to-date engineering data while reducing manual data preparation.
Through practical demonstrations, we will show how connecting engineering and estimating workflows can improve cost estimation accuracy, reduce rework, increase project visibility, and support better decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.

With a background deeply rooted in plant layout design and piping engineering, she has honed her skills while working with numerous leading national and international companies in the energy industry. Throughout her career, she has been entrusted with the responsibility of developing and executing strategies aimed at expediting the piping design process and minimizing engineering discrepancies. Her journey in engineering has provided her with a comprehensive understanding of the challenges encountered by piping design engineers at every stage of a project, from its inception to its advanced phases. Pooja has been in charge of development, maintenance, and implementation of the design standards, guides, and procedures for years before she decided to join PlantStream.
